L. Curtis Vernon
Managing Member
Curtis founded Lighthouse in 2021. Prior to establishing Lighthouse, Curtis worked for Sutin, Thayer and Browne PC, McKee Wallwork & Company, and Sandia National Laboratories. Curtis has practiced in the areas of public finance, corporate law, and estate planning, and has additional professional experience in finance and marketing.
Prior to practicing law, Curtis obtained his bachelor’s degree in international business and his master’s degree in finance. While studying at the University of New Mexico School of Law, Curtis achieved clinical honors, served as the managing editor of the Natural Resources Journal, and was recognized by the faculty for making a significant contribution to the law school community.
After gaining experience in a variety of areas, Curtis founded Lighthouse to focus his efforts on wills and trusts—and in particular—working closely with clients to author highly customized plans to accommodate unique family circumstances.
Curtis is a father of four, a prolific reader, and often spends his weekends coaching his kids in sports.

Timothy J. Baker
Associate Attorney
Tim joined Lighthouse after gaining valuable experience specializing in oil and gas law with Cavin & Ingram, PA, where he worked on mineral rights, lease negotiations, and complex title work.
Now focused on estate planning, Tim brings his meticulous approach and dedication to client relationships to helping families secure their legacies. As a natural team player, he values collaboration and enjoys working closely with clients and colleagues to develop creative solutions that address unique family circumstances.
Before practicing law, Tim earned his Juris Doctor from the University of New Mexico School of Law where he was recognized as the top student in both Contracts and Contracts Drafting. He continues to build his estate planning expertise by actively engaging with the legal community, regularly attending estate planning conferences, and participating in professional development opportunities.
Outside of work, Tim is an avid athlete and lifelong sports enthusiast. He played college soccer and continues to stay active through adult soccer leagues, beach volleyball, golf, and just about any activity that involves a ball. When he’s not on the field or the court, you can find him playing the piano, immersed in a good book, or enjoying time with family and friends.
